Dockside offers a wide variety of services including full site design, site updates, blog design, and logo design. We are a small company that focuses on quality, with a proven track record. To date, all of our clients have been local or regional, and most were referred by a friend. We don't object to distant clients, but if you are looking for a local designer, come to us. We also occassionally do pro bono work.
Design Process
- Initial Meeting
- We look at other sites.
- You submit photos.
- We come back to you to with a look, and then start the revisions
- Once you have something you like, we populate it with content.
- We added some finishing touches--tweaks designed to improve search engine results
- We give you a document describing all the features of your site and how to reach them, such as a link to a page that will tell you how many visitors you get from a certain region

A typical design processCosts
The final cost of your site will be the sum of three things: our fees + hosting fees + domain fees. This is standard for any and all websites. Our fees are $25 per hour. At the beginning of the design process we'll give you a quote, that includes 3 revisions. If the design takes longer that than, your cost does not change. We can host (i.e. 'store' your site for a small fee of $5 per month. Hosting costs vary, but if you want your own host you are looking at anywhere from $5-$20 a month. Domain names (i.e. yoursite.com typically cost about $10 per year. Some types (.com vs. .org) have different costs. We can handle this for you, or you can do it yourself.
